How do you select potential leaders? Recently I came across an interesting approach to thinking about the process. In his book Indispensible, Gautam Mukunda introduces the concept of the Leader Filtration Process
(LFP). The LFP is a system to choose leaders and to advance people through an organization. The LFP filters candidates to find those who conform to a specific value system. Through a series of multiple, incremental steps (filters) staff members who lack the values sought by the organization are weeded out of the advancement process.
