LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner recently told Wharton Business School he practices three leadership rules in hiring, leading and inspiring his employees.
1. Don't tell your troops what to do. Weiner says "managers tell people what to do. Leaders inspire them to do it."
2. Hire with vision. LinkedIn hires employees with an emphasis on those who can dream of the future.
3. Focus on the next play. A great leader keeps their team focused on what's next, not past successes or failures.
